At the Government Dental College Bangalore, the bond service commitment for MDS students is three years. This indicates that you must work for three years in a government dental hospital in Karnataka after earning your MDS. A fine of Rs 5 lakhs will be imposed if you don't comply. Only students who enrol in government colleges via the All India Quota (AIQ) or the State Quota are eligible for the bond. Students who enrol through the Management Quota are exempt from the bond requirement. In some circumstances, such as when you are unable to get employment with the government or when you are summoned to active military duty, the bond service requirement may be waived.
